L'hôpital et la maison de retraite de SAKIAI en Lituanie, sollicitent AIMA pour recevoir du matériel médical

AIMA vient de recevoir une demande d'un établissement pour personnes âgées et l'hôpital de la ville de SAKIAI, en Lituanie. Bien-sûr, AIMA fera son maximum pour répondre à leurs besoins et leur envoyer un camion avant la fin de l'année. 

Voici la demande formulée : 

Dear Sigrid Damaz, President of AIMA,

We have heard about your enormous support to Lithuania’s Elderly houses and hospitals. Director of Public Institution International Social Academy Angele Bajoriene is always talking and emphasizing the help you have provided in various social events.

It is an honor for us that Angele Bajoriene and Migle Maniusyte have evaluated and recognized our efforts to improve the quality and living conditions of our elderlies. We would like to ask your support and donations to help further renew the furniture, functional beds and other equipment mentioned in your initial e-mail.

Kukarske Elderly House is a non-profit organization under the municipality of Sakiai is located in a beautiful quiet place next to Lithuania’s biggest river Nemunas. Wonderful surroundings allow Elderlies (with better health conditions) to spend time outdoors e.g. gather mushrooms or go fishing. Our staff is doing their very best to entertain the elderlies with different activities to improve everyday life in the House. The personnel are giving their best to create and retain the home atmosphere in our House for everyone including elderlies, their families and beloved ones to enjoy. Of course, nowadays these activities are limited due to COVID-19. We hope this will change soon and will go back to normal. We have attached a few pictures from our everyday life.

Sakiai Hospital is also aiming to provide quality health services, however lack of financial governmental support prevents from doing so. Due to unprecedented circumstances earlier this year, both Kukarske Eldery House and Sakiai Hospital needed to reallocate their budget to COVID-19 related expenses. This accordingly impacted the budget availability, which requires to cut-off some important items and planned improvements in both institutions.

As we have the Support Receiver Status, this allows us to cover delivery related expenses up to 115 cubic meters, if you are still willing and are able to provide us with the support mentioned in the previous e-mail. Please find the document containing needed inventory attached based on the information you have provided with the split between Kukarske Eldery House and Sakiai Hospital.

We would like to kindly invite you, AIMA representatives to visit Kukarske Elderly house and Sakiai Hospital when it is possible and we would like to wish you all the best and thank you for the ongoing support.
